Fanman’s Basement

Fanman’s Basement, written, directed and animated by Drew Lewis Guerra, is a stop-motion animated short film about the trials and tribulations of an aspiring YouTuber finding his voice on the internet for the first time.

Wearing the iconic mask of a certain caped-crusader, The Fanman vows an oath to never reveal his secret identity. He chases online notoriety from a home-made studio in his mother’s basement,  and swears allegiance to reporting the truth in popular culture, the critique of movies, and all things fandom.

The film was an official selection at 14 film festivals, was nominated in several categories, and took home Best Animation at the Kapow Intergalactic Film Festival in 2018. In
